QUI SOMMES-NOUS ?

WHO ARE WE ?

"Art in Loft" is a 1901 law association which aims to promote the arts in all their forms: painting, sculpture, art calligraphy, music, literature. It is located in the medieval town of Salies-de-Béarn, a spa and cultural town halfway between Biarritz and Pau.

​

Temporary exhibitions allow the meeting of several arts. Conferences and thematic evenings in connection with other associations are also offered at "Art in Loft".

ART IN LOFT

A place dedicated to the arts

​

The "Art in Loft" association is located in the heart of the small medieval spa town of Salies-de-Béarn. The works of art are exhibited in the cozy decor of an apartment that highlights them.

Other exhibitions can also be held in other places of the city: the lobby of City Hall, Oustau dou Saleys ...

OUR ASSOCIATION
Our volunteers, passionate about the arts, come together for cultural thematic evenings where literature, music and visual arts mingle.
​
The vernissages of the exhibitions are also an opportunity to bring together members and visitors around an artist.
​
"Art in Loft" brings together different local associations and various kinds of art.
​
It also participates in the promotion of the arts to different audiences, and in particular to schools.

Promouvoir l'art auprès des écoles

​

Ouvrir tous les esprits aux arts est la mission principale de l'association Art en Loft. 
​
​Aussi, la plupart des expositions sont l'occasion d'associer les élèves des écoles de Salies-de-Béarn aux actions culturelles mises en place par l'association et ses partenaires.
​

Mettre en lien tous les arts

​

Des soirées thématiques sont régulièrement organisées : elles ont pour objectif de mettre en lien différentes formes d'art : lectures de contes, de lettres ou d'histoires mises en musique, découvertes d’œuvres autour d'un même thème.
Convivialité et émulation intellectuelle sont au rendez-vous !

​S'associer aux actions culturelles de Salies de Béarn

​

L'art en loft, c'est aussi le trait d'union entre différentes associations : pour permettre aux événements organisés par d'autres associations culturelles de Salies-de-Béarn d'être des succès, l'Art en Loft privilégie les partenariats et les collaborations artistiques en tentant d'inclure tous les acteurs de notre ville : librairie, restaurants, associations culturelles ou musicales....

Organiser des conférences et des concerts

 

Comme cette conférence de Sylvie Anahory, historienne de l'art, anthropologue et romancière qui proposait, le 3 octobre 2020, de décrypter le tableau de Vélasquez, "Les Ménines" (1656).
Un tableau à la composition énigmatique qui interroge le lien entre réalité et illusion, entre le spectateur et la toile.
La rigueur apparente de la construction ne cacherait-elle pas un piège ?
Une conférence brillamment menée à la manière d'une enquête policière...
